Our veterinarians know the community and have a passion for pets. Mike Schardein, DVM, who is also a managing partner, attended high school in the region and earned a B.A. and an M.S. in biology at the University of Louisville. After earning his degree in veterinary medicine from Auburn University, he came back to Louisville to begin his animal care career.
Dr. Robyn Cook, gave up a career in accounting to follow her passion—animals. She, too, earned her veterinary degree at Auburn University.
Dr. Tara McCoy, attended Eastern Kentucky University before earning her veterinary degree at Auburn University.
Dr. Kim Hindman, is another Louisville native who attended the University of Kentucky. There she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering followed by earning a veterinary degree in 2009 at Auburn University.
In addition to their exceptional professional credentials, our vets also share a common passion. As Dr. McCoy has noted, she loves being a vet because it allows her to help those who can’t speak for themselves.
“The groomer was very professional.”
