Meet Frosty, the feline honoree, and our beloved clinic cat and fellow arthritis sufferer. At 12 1/2 years old, Frosty has been greeting our clients for over 2 years now, and this year we are thrilled to honor him and the other animals and people we serve who are living with arthritis. Arthritis is one of the most diagnosed ailments in pets and is often unseen by pet owners. Thats where we come in! We want to be an advocate for all pets who may be suffering with arthritis to help them live a long, happy, pain free life.

Like 1 in 5 dogs in the U.S., 14 year old Bailey is living with arthritis. Since his initial symptoms appeared 6 years ago, Bailey’s family has helped him fight his arthritis through medications, laser therapy, massage, stem cell therapy and acupuncture. While he experiences arthritis pain most days, Bailey stays as active as he can and maintains his sweet and sunny demeanor. Bring your canine companions and join Bailey at this year’s Louisville Jingle Bell Run. He hopes to see you there!!

The Arthritis Foundation is the largest private funder of arthritis researchin the world with more than $500 million invested since 1948. Many of the breakthroughs in the treatment of arthritis have been funded by the Arthritis Foundation and those breakthroughs have ultimately paved the way to improved treatments currently available to animals suffering from arthritis.
